Sometimes
the best choice is simply
to raise both hands while
holding tight to a heart full of courage,
then
take that giant leap of faith,
or that long walk into the dark ...
dare to do it -
ride the biggest wave of your life
because
a gift may be waiting.
So true... and so well illustrated! Thanks especially for the first picture... I love it, that and the wing!
ReplyDeleteLots of ways to have *wings*, I think ....
DeleteWhat fantastic photos...and wonderful words!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Connie ... was having some thoughts today & the task of searching
Deletefor images to illustrate my meaning helped bring some perspective.
I can't stop looking at that first image :-)
ReplyDeleteTis a good 'un, been saving it to use for yonks.
DeleteHer whole portfolio is riveting ... dunno how she does it.
That third pic is rather how I feel today....
ReplyDeleteAm certain you keep a look-out for soft landing pads ;>]]
DeleteAre we really living if we don't challenge ourselves - jump without a net sometimes - try new-to-us ideas and live free? I love each and every one of these photos - but think I'll choose one, print it out and put it here in my studio for inspiration.
ReplyDeletecurious, Penny ... which one?
Deleteoh wow great set of photos & thoughts!
ReplyDeletewhen you fly (in your dreams) do you take a running start and jump or do you just sort of float up & soar? ( I jump, Old Man Crow floats)
... not much flying.
DeleteI

Beautiful images! Makes me want to go for a flight.
ReplyDelete... soaring would be good !
Deletepicture 3 is for my heart today!
ReplyDeleteRather an enigma, that picture ... conjures up all sorts of
Deleteunsettled questions [for me] but so good in spirit and daring !
oh what a beautiful album of pictures. I don't fly in dreams anymore - ever... . But I think of dancing as flying and being vulnerable as flying and openly caring for another as flying... (will I have a flying dream NOW? now that I've said 'never'?)
ReplyDeleteI guess there are a lot of ways to engage in that
Delete3-letter world, dee? Really liking your definitions, thank you ;>]
Can't understand it, been weeding all morning and now I feel at least 3' above the ground. I suppose it is the joy you do something with that makes you fly. Normally I feel grounded with my hands in the earth but today is so different, the soil is perfect and moist . . if my body served me I would not come inside at all.
ReplyDeleteThose photos need no words, they say it all.
Aren't you too young to know about sputņik??
