Texture Tuesday ... dream

Do not wake me
for I have written the love letter
and tossed it into the sea ...
tis the only way I can remain with thee.

: : :

Techie mumbo-jumbo:
original photo shot with my iPhone
processed with two apps (but I can't remember which ones, sorry)
textured with Kim Klassen's 'sonnet magic reversed'
and French Kiss's 'Ambrotype' from the Glorious Grunge Collection.
Linking today with the 'Dream' eDition over at the Cafe ...

  1. That is surely a dreamy picture- I love the blue shades, the sea, the textures that makes the magical touch - the hand written background is very poetic!

    1. I had a lot of fun with this one, Nina, although challenging since it was very dark to begin with...and you know what adding layers of texture can be like, so easy to go to mud. Kim's teaching has helped immensely ~ we are all so lucky!

Thanks for your visit & sweet words.

    1. It was so peaceful out there. I'm glad the feeling has remained with the photo even after all the "doctoring" with what-nots on top of it! Thanks, Jean.

    1. After I "apped" all over it on the phone, I really tried to maintain that dark mood but without it leaning towards a negative feeling (if that makes sense). Thanks for your visit, Cathy!

  7. Beautiful image - your photographic artistry just grows and grows. I also love the message - makes me want to make up a whole story to go with it.

    1. That's funny you mention a story, Penny. I did contemplate that idea, but I also knew that if I belabored the post too long it may not get posted at all. Still, story is vitally important to me. If I can do that with just one image, even better.

      Thank you so much, Penny.

    hauntingly lovely poem

    long ago
    I threw a rose
    in a river
    asking it
    to take the love
    locked in my heart
    to the sea

    thank you
    for the memory

    1. Robin dear, did you bead that? What I mean is, did you ever create a beaded piece around that rose in the river?
Powerful stuff. I'm glad to have given you the memory back ;>]]

    1. Having a sailor out there would change everything, susan, take on another meaning altogether....you've probably sent many *messages* across open waters in one form or another...as those that wait, do.
